Playing to sold out houses and receiving standing ovations at every venue, this unique phenomenon has returned to its creative roots with a thoroughly engaging spectacle that provides the audience with an hour and 20 minutes of pure interactive fun and entertainment perfect for the whole family. In addition to its commercial success and broad public appeal, theDrumstruck team in conjunction with its Japanese producers Horipro, had the privilege and opportunity to do a charity performance in Sendai for residents of one of the area’s that was most affected by the devastating tsunami in March this year. The Sendai presenter and head of the local television network was quoted as saying “this is the first time since the disaster that these people (the audience) have had a reason to laugh and smile. Drumstruck has brought us some desperately needed relief from the pain and suffering that has been endured by the people of this area” Already a well established feature on Japan’s live entertainment calendar, this one of a kind show that provides every audience member with a drum to play is in the planning stages of its upcoming tour of the USA and Europe.
